Dr.
Rojas received a Masters in Clinical Social Work from
Smith College and a PhD in Clinical Social Work from
Columbia University. She completed a Post Doctoral Fellowship
in Psychiatric Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Johns
Hopkins University. Additionally, she has completed
levels I and II of Gottman Method Couples Therapy and
also uses Imago theory in her work with couples. Dr.
Rojas has been adjunct faculty at Columbia University,
Adelphi University, and the Catholic University of America.
She was also a Visiting Professor at the University
of South Florida. She has taught numerous courses including
Human Development and Psychopathology, Assessment and
Diagnosis of Mental Disorders, Human Behavior in the
Social Environment, Foundations of Social Work Practice,
Research and Statistics in Social Work, and Life Histories
and Narratives. She was a Council on Social Work Education
Research Fellow, funded by the National Institute of
Mental health, and has presented her research at the
Council on Social Work Education Annual Program Meeting,
the College on Problems of Drug Dependence, and the
Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public
Health - Mental Health Seminar Series, She has been
published in several peer reviewed journals.
Dr. Rojas has provided therapy
to adults in various settings such as community mental
health centers, hospitals, a residential treatment program,
and Christian private practice groups where she has
treated clients with anxiety and depression, in addition
to other mental disorders. She was also the Director
of a Mental Health Department at a clinic in DC. Dr.
Rojas provides a warm, safe environment for you to share
your struggles. She integrates biblical concepts, theoretical
knowledge, and experience to give you a deeper understanding
of your situation. Furthermore, she teaches you the
skills that you need in order to improve your life and
she guides you through this process of change. She is
a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work (LICSW)
in DC and is also fully bilingual (English/Spanish).
