Debbie Elmore, MA, LPC, NCC

Debbie is a Licensed Professional Counselor offering services in person in Warrenton, VA and online in both Virginia and Pennsylvania. Her passion is helping others who are hurting emotionally, physically, relationally, and spiritually: "I humbly recognize that it is a great privilege sitting with those experiencing the many faces of pain and discouragement, for those with challenging life circumstances, in need of encouragement and offering them new Horizons of Hope. I sincerely empathize with those who are overwhelmed with sadness and paralyzed in fear because of trauma, addiction, or those grieving various losses. In addition, I wholeheartedly support those debilitated by the shame of past or present failure, suffering associated with abuse, managing mental illness, and living in difficult marriages and/or challenging relationships, and finally, but not limited to, those in the midst of anxious transition in the many changing seasons of life.”

Debbie believes that our God is a God of the impossible. "I have witnessed his divine intervention in the lives of so many clients and believe for, and with my clients, that abundant living here on earth is possible through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the power of the Holy Spirit, and most importantly, integrating His authentic truths as revealed in God's Word. In addition, since we are wonderfully created for connection with God, he also provides healing and transformation as we connect with others through establishing redemptive relationships, as well as, recognizing the implications of attachment injuries from childhood, which inhibit personal growth and lasting healthy change. One of my favorite scriptures, as it relates to my calling as a Christian counselor, is 2 Corinthians 5:18 reminding us that “all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and having given to us the ministry of reconciliation."
