"'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'" (Jeremiah 29:11)

I began my calling/passion for counseling while in my undergraduate program at the University of Maryland University College where I received my BS in Psychology in 2007. I have been employed with the federal government for over 19 years, however after working in a ministry at my church God called me to return to school. The ministry allowed me to facilitate a group of woman through the different life stories of the woman of the Bible while dealing with issues that they faced in their lives. It gave them an opportunity to use the examples of the woman of the Bible and the principles to apply them to their life for healing and strength in Christ. After serving in this ministry for 18 months my gift was confirmed to me, I returned to school to obtain my master’s degree in counseling.

As a Master's level graduate from Bowie State University's Mental Health Program, I have had extensive training in group counseling, family counseling, drug and alcohol addition, career counseling and marital counseling. In addition, I have taken over 48 credit hours in preparation for aiding in individuals at finding hope in all situations such as blended families, divorce, anxiety and low self-esteem. Along with my educational, professional and personal experience, I offer over 20 years of experience in counseling. I have two children ages 15 and 22. I enjoy reading, traveling and spending quality time with family and friends.

Most importantly I have a vested interest in facilitating a healthy perspective and finding hope in all life’s journeys. My counseling style is to aid in individuals, families and couples finding the solutions that can ensure they maintain healthy lifestyles both personal and professional.
